Fishing in Northern Maine

Beauty of a lake trout
That's a beautiful lake trout!

One can hardly look at Northern Maine's gorgeous lakes and rivers without thinking about fishing. Northern Maine's ice-cold waters are home to teeming schools of fish, including landlocked salmon, book trout, lake trout, and muskie. Fishing season generally runs from ice-break (late May) until the last day in September.
Popular methods of fishing include flyfishing and trolling off a canoe or motorboat.

If you prefer, you can rent your own equipment and boat and set off into the wildnerness or spend all day fishing by yourself.

Imagine spending a week in a canoe, paddling and fishing, idling away the day (maybe slapping a few mosquitoes). Bliss, right? We would love to make it happen for you. Head on over to the Contact page to get started!
